Torch

Launching a token

Launch a token from Telegram with /launch, on the Torch launchpad (Robinhood Chain) or a partner launchpad.

COMING SOON

Launching from Telegram is coming soon. Until then, launch from the Terminal. The steps below describe how it will work.

Type /launch and the bot walks you through it. Nothing is created until you confirm with your password.

Where you can launch

The full story of the Torch launchpad is on How the launchpad works.

The steps

  1. Chain and launchpad. Pick where to launch.
  2. Details. Name, ticker, description and socials. You can paste them all in one message using the template the bot shows.
  3. Image. Send a square picture (JPEG or PNG).
  4. Settings (Torch launchpad): preset (Degen, Launch or Steady), buy tax (default 2%) and where your 70% share of the tax goes: to you, to burn, or to holders.
  5. Dev buy (optional): buy some of your own token in the same transaction, so you hold supply from the first block.
  6. Confirm with your password. Launches always ask, whatever the size.

On the Torch launchpad your token's address always ends in 1111.

After launch

  • Your token is tradable immediately, in Torch and anywhere else.
  • Creator fees (if you kept a share) build up as people buy. Claim them in the Terminal under Profile → Launches, as ETH or as your own token.
  • Unclaimed creator fees with no new activity for 60 days go to buying back and burning $TORCH.

Good to know

  • Nothing can be changed after launch: name, ticker, image, tax and split are permanent.
  • Anti-snipe on the Torch launchpad: the buy tax starts at 80% and drops to your rate within seconds, so sniping bots pay heavily. Your dev buy isn't affected.
  • On partner launchpads, the partner's rules decide creator fees and migrations.
