Buying
The token card, amount presets, funding source, slippage, price-impact protection and what happens after you tap Buy.
Open a token card
Three ways, all identical:
- Paste a contract address (EVM
0x…) or a Solana mint into the chat. /buy <address>.- Tap Buy in the menu and paste when asked.
The bot rejects your own wallet address if you paste it by mistake.
What the card shows
Paste a contract address and the bot replies with the token card and buy buttons. This is exactly what it looks like (example token):

└ Token Example Token
View transactionMarket data comes from independent market-data providers; on a brand-new token the card can say market data pending and fill in on refresh. A warning appears when the same address exists on more than one chain so you can confirm which one you meant.
If you already hold the token, the card also offers Sell, Chart, TP/SL and Share PnL.
Choose an amount
| Button | Meaning |
|---|---|
0.01 0.05 0.1 0.5 | Native amount of the funding chain |
| Max | Full balance minus a gas reserve so the transaction can actually land |
| Custom | Type any amount |
| Buy Limit | Switch to a limit order instead of a market buy |
Funding source
The pay-source toggle switches between:
- your main chain balance (auto-bridge, then swap), and
- the token's own chain balance (direct swap).
See Chains for how the auto-bridge behaves.
Slippage
Default 2%. Change it per trade from the card, or set your default in Settings. The bot warns above 5%. Slippage is the worst price you accept relative to the quote; it is not a fee.
Price-impact protection
If your size would move the pool price by 10% or more, the bot stops and asks you to continue or cancel. Thin pools and fresh launches trigger this often; it is a sign the pool is small, not that anything is broken.
What happens after you tap
- Finding the best route: the bot asks several aggregators and DEX routers for quotes and takes the best executable one. Fresh launch-venue tokens still on their bonding curve are routed to that venue directly.
- Building transaction: the 1% Torch fee is applied (see Fees); the transaction is prepared with your slippage.
- Signing: automatic under your threshold, otherwise a password prompt.
- Broadcast and confirmation: the bot watches the chain and replies with a success card: amount bought, price paid, explorer link. The position card is pinned so you can find it later.
Swap (native ↔ stablecoin)
/swap converts between a chain's native token and its main stablecoin on the same chain, using the same routing and fee as a buy. It is the quickest way to park value without leaving a chain.
Names and symbols are not proof
Anyone can launch a token called anything. Always read the contract address on the card and cross-check the chart/explorer links before you buy.
