Torch

Orders

Take profit, stop loss, limit buys and sells, and DCA plans. How they trigger, what can stop them, and their limits.

/orders opens the order manager. Orders are stored server-side and watched continuously, so they fire whether or not Telegram is open on your phone.

Creating an order

From a token or position card tap TP/SL or Buy Limit, or use /orders → New.

  1. Pick the type.
  2. Set the trigger as a USD price or as a percentage from the current price (+25%, -15%, …). Triggers that would fire immediately are refused.
  3. Set the size: 25 / 50 / 75 / 100%, Sell Initial, a custom percentage, or an exact token amount. Limit buys and DCA use a native amount.
  4. For DCA choose the interval: 15m · 1h · 4h · 8h · 12h · 24h · 3d · 7d.
  5. Confirm. You will see: This fires automatically and signs via your auto-approve tier. No confirmation needed when it triggers.

How triggering works

  • Prices are checked every few seconds against live pool data.
  • When a trigger is met the bot executes with your slippage. Protective sells (stop loss) are allowed to widen slippage progressively on retries so you get out rather than getting stuck.
  • Execution uses your automatic signing permission; if the order size is above your threshold you will be asked to confirm when it fires. Keep your threshold in mind when sizing protective orders.
  • If a trigger fails repeatedly within a short window the order is paused and you are told why.
  • If you no longer hold the token (sold manually, moved it out) the order cancels itself.

Orders on volatile tokens

Take-profit, stop-loss and limit orders are best-effort. On volatile or thin tokens the price can jump past your trigger, liquidity can disappear, or a sell can fail even after retries. Torch can't guarantee that an order fills, or fills at your trigger price, and isn't responsible for losses when an order fills late, partly or not at all because of market conditions. Size your positions with that in mind.

Managing orders

/orders → pick a chain → each order shows type, trigger, size and status with Edit and Cancel. Cancelling is immediate and free (nothing is on-chain until the order fires).

Orders settle on the token's chain

Where an order settles is fixed to the token's chain at creation time. Changing your main chain later does not move or re-route open orders. Proceeds from a triggered sell stay on that chain; you can bridge afterwards.

Migrate with open orders

/migrate (see Bridge & migrate) refuses to drain a chain that still has open limit buy or DCA orders, because they would fail without funds. Cancel them first or leave that chain out.
