How the launchpad works
Launch a token on Robinhood Chain in one transaction. Locked liquidity from the first second, a buy tax that pays the creator, holders or burns, and no migration.
The Torch launchpad lets anyone launch a token on Robinhood Chain in a single transaction. The token trades in a real Uniswap v4 pool from the first second, its liquidity is locked forever, and the buy tax it collects goes back to the creator, the holders and the token itself.
Launching in three steps
A Quick launch has three steps:
- Basics. Pick a preset (Degen, Launch or Steady, see below) and add the name, ticker, description, image and socials.
- Fees. Choose a buy tax between 1% and 10% (2% by default) and where your share of it goes: to you, to buyback-and-burn, or to holders. Anti-snipe protection is on.
- Review and launch. You see everything you picked and an optional dev buy: exactly how much of the supply it gets you and where the market cap lands.
Custom launch (coming soon) adds more control: mixing your share across you, burn, holders and liquidity, a team launch with vesting, and switching anti-snipe off.
What happens when you press launch
In one transaction:
- The token is created with a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000. There is no mint function, so no more can ever be created.
- A Uniswap v4 pool is created and 100% of the supply goes into it. Nothing is held back for a team, a treasury or anyone else.
- Your dev buy runs, if you chose one. It's a normal buy at the starting price, without the buy tax.
- Your fee split is locked in for the life of the token.
From that moment the token can be bought and sold through Torch, the Uniswap interface and aggregators.
Real Torch tokens end in 1111
Every token launched on the Torch launchpad has an address ending in 1111, so a genuine Torch launch is easy to recognise.
Presets: where the price starts
There is no bonding curve and no migration. The pool is the market from the first block. The preset only sets the starting market cap:
| Preset | Starts at | Feels like |
|---|---|---|
| Degen | 1 ETH market cap | Most tokens per ETH early, fastest price moves |
| Launch | 2.5 ETH market cap | The balanced default |
| Steady | 5 ETH market cap | Calmer chart, more ETH in the pool as it grows |
Launch Complete is a progress marker shown when the price reaches 10x its start. Nothing migrates and nothing changes on chain.
Liquidity is locked forever
The launch liquidity is held by the Torch launchpad contract, which has no way to withdraw it. No creator, team member or Torch admin can remove it. The pool also grows over time: trading fees are added back to it, and so is any tax a creator sends to liquidity.
The buy tax
Each token has a buy tax between 1% and 10%, chosen at launch and fixed forever. Nobody can change it afterwards, Torch included.
- Only buys are taxed. Sells, wallet-to-wallet transfers, airdrops and exchange deposits are never taxed.
- The tax is taken inside the buy: with a 2% tax you receive 98% of the tokens. Torch quotes already show what you receive after tax.
- Anti-snipe: right at launch the tax starts at 80% and falls to the normal rate over a few seconds (30 s on Degen, 15 s on Launch and Steady). Bots that buy in the first moments pay most of their buy as tax. The dev buy is not affected.
Where the tax goes
- 30% goes to Torch.
- 70% goes where the creator chose at launch:
- Creator: paid to the creator, claimable at any time.
- Burn: tokens sent to the dead address, gone for good.
- Holders: paid out as rewards that holders claim themselves.
- Liquidity (Custom launch): added to the locked pool.
The split can't be changed after launch and is shown on every token page under Token info → Launch details. Torch converts the tax into ETH (or the paired asset) and pays it out automatically, several times an hour.
For creators
- Claim your ETH to your payout wallet at any time.
- Claim as token: use your claimable ETH to buy your own token (a normal buy, normal tax).
- Claim tokens: take your share as tokens straight away, without waiting for it to be converted.
- You can set a different payout wallet, or hand the creator role to someone else. They have to accept it, so a typo can't send it to the wrong address.
- Unclaimed fees: if a creator neither claims nor earns new fees for 60 days, the unclaimed balance is used to buy back and burn $TORCH.
Holder rewards
When a creator sends part of the tax to holders, every wallet holding the token earns a share based on how much it held and for how long. Buying right before a payout and selling right after earns very little. There's no minimum holding.
The pool, the Torch contracts and the dead address are left out, so their share goes to real holders. Rewards add up, never expire, and you claim them whenever you like, across all your tokens and wallets at once, from your profile or the Rewards page.
Pairs
Tokens can also be launched against assets other than ETH: $TORCH, the USDG stablecoin and Robinhood stock tokens. Payouts are then made in the paired asset. We're committed to adding more pairs as the project grows.
Safety, in short
- The token has no owner, no mint, no pause and no blacklist. The tax and where it goes are fixed at launch.
- The liquidity can never be removed by anyone.
- Changes to the fee system go through a 48-hour public timelock, visible on chain two days before they can take effect. No admin can move a token's funds or change a creator's split.
- The launchpad and $TORCH contracts are verified on the Robinhood Chain explorer. See Official addresses.
Other launch options in Torch
Besides the Torch launchpad, Torch can also launch on supported partner launchpads (for example on Solana). Launching on more chains is coming soon. Those follow the partner's own rules (bonding curve, migration, fees). Torch charges no launch fee there.
