Anyone can create an account with a browser wallet or a wallet app; you don't need Telegram.

What the browser wallet is for

Your browser wallet is your login. It also approves withdrawals and larger trades. Torch never holds its key.

The extension is identity and step-up authority. Your trading funds live in your Torch wallets (one EVM, one Solana), held in Turnkey enclaves exactly as described in Security & custody. You can make the extension your signer (Make it my signer), after which approvals say Approve with your wallet instead of asking for a password.

Password

Telegram users have a Torch password (set in the bot). In the Terminal it is used in-browser only to unlock your root credential for:

  • trades above your auto-approve threshold,
  • withdrawals,
  • installing a security update to your wallet policies,
  • exporting keys.

Choose a password. It encrypts your wallet key on this device; Torch never sees it and cannot reset it.

The unlocked credential stays in memory for the tab and is gone when you close it.

Session

A secure, HttpOnly cookie keeps you signed in for roughly half a day. Sign out from the account menu at any time; it only ends the session, nothing moves.

Security update banner

Your wallet needs a one-time security update. Trading is paused until the updated signing rules are installed.

Torch added a chain or router. Approve once (password or wallet) and trading resumes. Same mechanism as Update Wallet Policies in the bot.

Deposit, withdraw, export

  • Deposit: copy your Torch address for the chain you want to fund.
  • Withdraw: chain → asset → amount → review → approve. Address format is validated per chain.
  • Export (/account/export): EVM and Solana keys separately, after acknowledging anyone with these keys can take my funds. Until you export once, a banner reminds you: Back up your Torch wallet now. Torch cannot recover it for you. There is no email, phone, or reset.
